Goat to play first headline London show in June!

“World Music sounds incredible – a pitch-perfect mix of Black Sabbath, Can, Fela Kuti, Funkadelic and the northern-lights psych of countrymen such as Pärson Sound or Träd Gräs och Stenar.  The Guardian *****

“…surging, mercurial lead guitar battles big-mama blues wailing over bent boogie rhythms, before melting into a spooked, satanic acoustic-guitar fade.”  Sunday Times

“Ensconced deep in rhythm, it charges and pounds with tribal stomp intensity…”  Loud & Quiet

“The deeply infectious rhythms and the unanimously stellar musicianship make this one of the most solid, and thoroughly enjoyable, debuts of the year.”  Rock A Rolla

“A brilliant and intoxicating record.”  Clash

“One of the wildest and most intriguing records you’re likely to hear this year.”  Rocksound

“Goat made me pull my shirt off and start quoting Predator 2 – ‘Vooddo magic.  Fucking voodoo magic, man’!”  The Quietus

We are excited to announce Swedish psych afrobeat collective, Goat, will be playing their first headline London show on Thursday 27th June.

Goat’s stunning debut album, World Music, received unanimous praise across the board, and appeared in a number of best of 2012 lists, including Rough Trade, Piccadilly Records, Uncut, Stool Pigeon, Loud & Quiet, Rock A Rolla etc.  The Quietus described it as a “forceful and infectious masterpiece of cosmic rock & roll”, whilst the Guardianreviewed it as “one of 2012′s biggest underground rock albums” and “head-spinningly great fun throughout”.  We couldn’t agree more.

It’s not just their album that’s good either, Goat’s live performance at Supersonic was a highlight of the festival! They  played their first ever public show back in October at the London Lexington with Teeth of the Sea and Gnod.  We’re expecting this London show to be HUGE!
